Emergency Housing Vouchers (EHV): VMS & FDS Reporting Requirements

On August 20, 2021, HUD issued PIH Notice 2021-25, providing guidance on Emergency Housing Vouchers (EHV) reporting for the Voucher Management System (VMS) and PHA year-end Financial Data Schedule (FDS) reporting for all PHAs.  This webinar provides a discussion of HUD’s reporting guidance on FDS and VMS reporting for PHAs that received EHV funding.  HUD provided EHV funds starting in June 2021, as such PHAs with a FYE of 6/30/2021 and after will need to report their EHV funds on the FDS.  Topics covered in this webinar include:

  1. General Accounting and Reporting Requirements of the EHV program, including Cost Allocation
  2. EHV Administrative Fee Types – Funded Amount, Eligible Uses, and FDS Reporting
  3. EHV HAP Funding and Eligible Uses of HAP Funds
  4. EHV FDS Reporting, including specific reporting for Portability, Security Deposits, and Interest Income
  5. EHV and Fees Paid to the Central Office Cost Center (COCC)
  6. VMS Reporting for EHV

Note: This session will not cover EHV and 50058 Reporting.

Learning Objective: Courses provide PHAs with an understanding of a variety of program requirements.
Who Should Attend: Housing Authority Executive Directors, Public Housing and HCV Supervisors, Finance Directors, Auditors, and other financial personnel
Program Knowledge Level / Prerequisites - ED 101 Track: Courses offered are update-level content.  No prerequisite is required.
Program Knowledge Level / Prerequisites - HCV Track: Courses offered are update-level content.  You should have a basic knowledge of the HCV Program.
Program Knowledge Level / Prerequisites - Public Housing Track: Courses offered are update-level content.  You should have a basic knowledge of the Public Housing Operating and Capital Fund programs.
Advanced Preparation: No advanced preparation is required. Attendees will be given the opportunity to download digital materials.
Instructional Method: Group Internet Based Programs, with Q&A and chat options to interact with presenters
Length/CPE Credits/Field of Study: We offer courses ranging from 1 to 3 hours.  CPE credits are based on a 50-minute hour, in accordance with the standards for the National Registry of CPE Sponsors.
Cancellation Policy: All cancellation requests must be received via email (info@ahforward.com). Registration fees are fully refundable provided the request is received a minimum of 24 hours prior to the course start time. Individuals cancelling less than 24 hours prior to the course start time will not receive a refund, but will be provided access to the course materials and the recorded version of the course. CPE/Attendance credit is not provided for watching the recording.
Substitutions: If you are unable to attend a course you may substitute another individual or change locations without penalty. The change must be within the same calendar year. For proper CPE credit and record keeping, you must notify us in advance of any substitution or change in location.
